F. Bridge - Two Pieces: Pensiero; Allegro appassionato
The choice of this program was made with very clear ideas of what I would like to pass through the music to the audience. These to pieces are very contrasting by having a huge diversity of colors, atmospheres and different approaches to the viola. The Hindemith sonata brings a lot of power and explores deeply the intensity of the instrument. on the other hand, the two pieces by Bridge are closer to the romantic style. Pensiero is more calm and brings a mixture of darkness and brightness whereas the Allegro appassionato is deeply romantic, very flowing, vivid and intense. I thought that this combination would be pleasurable to listen and I hope the audience enjoys!
